El Expreso de La Robla: Roundtrip Journey from Bilbao

Day 1-Start your train journey from Bilbao
Welcome to Bilbao, the largest city in the Basque Country and the capital of the province of Biscay. Check in at the FEVE train station and board the Expreso de la Robla, your hotel on wheels for the next three nights. Settle in to your comfortable cabin as your railway adventure begins, traveling to Espinosa de los Monteros. Visit the Karstic Complex of Ojo de Guareña in Sotoscueva and find the largest cave collection of the Iberian Peninsula. Rejoin the train and depart for Cervera de Pisuerga where the train remains stationary for the evening at the station of Vado-Cervera. Dinner at the Parador of Fuentes Carrionas.
Day 2-Explore Leon, the city of Roman origin
Enjoy breakfast on board as the train travels to Matallana where the coach awaits to take you to the Caves of Valporquero. The cave is famous for its fascinating stalactites and stalagmites of various shapes. Rejoin the train as it takes you to San Feliz and transfer to León, a fascinating city, famous for several monumental buildings, including the Real Colegiata de San Isidoro, San Marcos and more. Enjoy dinner at the famous wine caves of Prieto Picudo and overnight onboard as the train remains stationary at the railway station of San Feliz
Day 3-Visit the natural wonders at Vegacervera and Valporquero
While having breakfast on board, the train makes it way to Guardo. After arrival, board the coach for your sightseeing tour and visit Romanesque Art of Palencia, Carrion de los Condes, Fromista, and Villalcazar de Sirga. After lunch, depart from Mataporquera to Espinosa de los Monteros for dinner and overnight.
Day 4-Disembark the train in Bilbao
After breakfast on the train, explore the cities of Villa of Espinosa de Los Monteros and Medina de Pomar. Visit the remarkable monuments of Alcázar de los Condestables and its famous Old Quarters. Continue on to Balmaseda, home to the historic quarter and old bridge. Visit the famous beret factories and Boinas La Encartada, followed by a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Expreso de La Robla and travel back to Bilbao, where the tour ends.
